I'm bored. So let's make a vlog!

I think I'm gonna get an addiction to this stuff.

So even though I've only done 1 vlog on Youtube, I already want to do more.  Lots more.  I've been watching other people's vlogs (shout out to JohnWDWCP!!!  You're awesome!) and it seems like I should try to make my entires as regular as possible (so on the off chance that I actually get some followers, they won't have to wait months at a time to get a new vlog... or blog, if you prefer reading...). 

The only problem is, if I DO apply for Fall 2011, then I would have to do almost an entire year's worth of vlogs (minus a couple of months.....).  And there's no way I have enough material to cover like 10 months of vlogging.  

It seems the anticipation of starting the College Program has already hit me.  And I haven't even applied yet.

I need to wait til like January to start applying.  And it's still October.

So, if you're following these at all, I guess I should thank you for following me when I only have 1 vlog out there... your faith in me is very...erm.  Humbling.  I guess.  

GETTING TO THE POINT:

I'm gonna make my second vlog tomorrow.  It's probably gonna be on my other options if I don't do the College Program (I'm at a pretty big fork in the road at the moment).

Hello internet!
So this is my first blog ever.  So since I'm kinda new to this, there will be periods of me disappearing, reappearing, and anything in between.  But I'd like to use this post to introduce myself and explain why I'll be writing a Disney CP blog.

My name is Carly from Connecticut.  I'm a freshman in college who has no idea what I'm gonna do with my life.  I'm not very happy in my major, I almost took a year off before starting college... I'm all over the place.  BUT at some point in my college career, I would LOVE to do the Disney College Program.

Why?

1. I love Disney.
2. It will provide an amazing opportunity to work for one of the biggest companies in the world.
3. It will give me the chance to truly 'grow up' (contrary to Peter Pan) and live on my own and get a real-world experience.
4. I'm hoping it will help me figure out exactly what it is I want to do with my life.

One possible path I am considering is pursuing an actual job within the company, so the College Program would be a fantastic way to get my foot in the Disney door.

When?

I was going to wait until I was a second semester sophomore or junior to do the CP, but the more I think about it, the more I'm starting to believe that doing it ASAP is better for me.  I'd love to experience the program and come back with a better understanding of what I want to do sooner rather than later.  In which case, I would be applying for Fall (or Fall Advantage, haven't decided yet) 2011.  Which means I gotta start preparing for my application!!!  I don't really need to worry about it til the end of this year, but hey, why not start now?

So I probably won't post another blog for a while..... if I do decide to CP Fall 2011, the posts will become more frequent once the application process begins.
